“Chronophobia”: The two key features are the presence of clocks and the fact that I painted myself as a ghoul. These two unusual details combine the concept of time and death. I painted this because fear was another psychological aspect of the mind I was studying. The style in which I painted my own hair, nails, and lips is inspired by Kaneki from Tokyo Ghoul. His character showcased an odd struggle; he shortens his lifespan to gain power and influence. After all, people can sacrifice their well-being to attempt to chase success. Thus the meaning behind my painting is that this fear exists for motivated individuals, but anxiety without action is fruitless. I had to learn that chronophobia is not a prerequisite for achievement.
