Fireside Reflections
By the fireside’s glow, where embers dance in mirth,
I sit alone in quietude, a visitor to the hearth
A wreath hangs on the mantle, a circle of festive green,
Echoing the warmth within; a cozy Christmas scene
The crackling of the fire, a comforting, rhythmic beat,
As I sip on cocoa, worries find a quiet retreat
The flames flicker gently, memories take their place,
The Christmas tree adorned, with ornaments in grace
Cradled by the couch, a witness to the cheer,
I bask in the coziness, as the holiday draws near
The fire paints stories on the walls around,
And carols softly play, as snow falls without a sound
A year has gone by, with its joys and sweet embraces,
Wrapped in tinsel dreams, full of familiar faces
The scent of cedar logs, so deep and so pure,
Whispers of the hearth, memories to assure
As the fire slowly fades, and the night turns to dawn,
I welcome Christmas morning, as a new day is drawn
With cocoa in hand and laughter in tow,
Fireside reflections guide me, in the hearth’s soft glow.
The Christmas tree’s lights twinkle, a radiant display,
Casting warmth and joy, as the night gives away
