Chappaqua rarely gets any new restaurants, so when a new one pops up it’s always worth a try. Bia American Kitchen and Bar is located in the Chappaqua Crossing and recently opened in August 2024. For a new restaurant, they seem to be doing very well and attracting many new customers from the Chappaqua Community.
When I entered the restaurant, I immediately felt a warm and welcoming vibe that made me feel welcomed as a guest. The modern architecture enhances the dining experience by making the atmosphere elegant and cozy. The staff is also friendly, patient, and very quick in taking orders.
Looking at the menu, there are so many wonderful choices. The first dish that I had was the salad pizza. I thought the salad would be very lettuce-heavy, but there was just the right balance with the other ingredients—tomato, bacon, blue cheese, avocado, and balsamic dressing all topped on a delicious fluffy flatbread. The salad pizza is definitely big enough for three people and I would highly recommend it. I rate the dish a 9.5/10, and I will most definitely order it again during my next visit!
For the next appetizer, I got the Spicy Tuna Tower which has a base of crispy rice topped with spicy yellowfin tuna, avocado, and furikake. There is also an array of sauces on the side that adds tons of flavor to this dish. The tuna was fresh and when paired with the other parts of the dish really tickles your taste buds. While the spicy tuna tower is a single serving, two people can also share it as an appetizer. I rate the tuna tower a 9/10. Yum!
As a main course, I went with the grass-fed burrata burger that came with baby arugula, roasted peppers, crispy burrata, and balsamic dressing. This is a fantastic dish to order and the burrata surprisingly was paired very well with the burger. The meat filet itself was the best part of the burger as it was juicy and filled with flavors. I also highly recommend the combination with the crispy burrata. We split the burger between two people since the appetizers filled us up! I rate the grass-fed burrata burger a 9/10, and I believe this creative dish is a must-have when going to Bia!
Overall my experience at Bia was incredible, and I see this restaurant quickly becoming a new staple in Chappaqua. It’s a perfect place for a family lunch or a nice Saturday evening outing. It only took 10 minutes for our appetizers to be delivered and 20 minutes for our main dish. If not already, this efficient and eloquent restaurant should be on your list of places to try. Yum is all I have to say!
